How to upgrade ships in a fleet

If you disband and move just one ship in the fleet, go to its upgrade screen, and check the upgrade all box then all ships of that type (including the fleeted ships) will upgrade. Now if you just want to upgrade that one particular fleet and not all ships of that type...well like you said, you have to disband, unstack and upgrade individually.

Pain in the butt ain't it? One of my pet peeves as well.

don't disband. just pick 1 ship and kick it out of the fleet by clicking its little x in the fleet list. then upgrade.

I really hope they give us the option to upgrade the ships in just one fleet in one of the upcoming patches. Moving seven ships to seven different tiles to upgrade them is fairly annoying.

Giving whole fleets away would also be a great improvement, supporting your neighbor with warships can be a real pain ...

Hm too bad. But the option to upgrade all ships is still somehow usefull, havent seen the "upgrade all" button yet, but will look for it

1.2 will have an "Upgrade" button added to the fleet manager and ship details, so you'll be able to upgrade without the aformentoned work around

As it stands, you can avoid having to move all your ships out to seperate squares (leaving them exposed and vulnerable) by removing them from the fleet, then moving them one square out and then back in. You will still have the upgrade button available until you click the fleet again.

I've never had my ships attacked while an upgrade was going on, but I'm guessing they won't survive without some other ships taking up the defence.
