It still weirds me out seeing stuff like "I hope that rapist/molestor/whathaveyou gets raped every day in prison!" But maybe I'm just naive.

I havent read as much as I'd like to lately, but I recently finished Stardust by Neil Gaiman. The tagline is something like "A grown-up fairy tale", which it is. He's written a few other books and graphic novels / comics and is fairly well known for his work. Terry Pratchett writes good SF-humor, similar to Douglas Adams but with a more fantasy feel than SF. If you would like something different, try finding some trade paperbacks of cer

I should be ashamed that the first thing I thought of when I saw that pic was "For gods' sake, woman, there should be an ' in guys' ". I am terrible at this "man" thing.

Yeah, I realized that. It's just a lot of people tend to confuse the reason, if they even know that much. One of the reasons I've stopped going to church is that it seems kinda dumbed down and repetitive. I've had to shell out money for parochial school to learn about what I said, instead of hearing it from a sermon. Which is kinda where it should be said.

We weren't banished from Paradise for being disobeideint. We were banished for taking knowledge and not exercising, or wanting, any responsibility about it. God wasn't mad at us eating from the tree, but rather from three things: 1. Hiding from Him. 2. Lying about it when He asked. 3. Trying to pass the blame from Adam to Eve to the snake. Those are the three things that we were kicked out for, and frankly, they're the ro

Seeing as how you've been through a couple pregnancies, a car accident, and gods know what else, I think you should be proud of having an ass like yours. I'd get this ( http://www.tshirthell.com/store/product.php?productid=452 ) one, but my buttoned shirts would cover it.

Working, mostly. Nothing like a two-hour commute by public transportation each way to take time out of your day. Good thing they pay me well. And that's awesome. They've got all sorts of neat things out, actually. Power suits, curing paralysis with stem cells. Interesting times we live in.

Paid... for... Kazaa? You're hurting my brain here, dharma. Besides, BitTorrent is less likely for you to get sued anyway, unless you're hosting the torrents, which you probably won't be.

Long time no see. Sorry to hear you're not doing too well. Hopefully, it'll all get taken care of soon.

To start this off, this earned the guy a Darwin Award. No, this isn't the stapling one. It's far, far, worse. ~~~NWS from beyond this point!~~~ So, this guy and girl decide to have some fun outdoors. Not checking the weather, they head off to the top of a hill and start going at it like sharp knives, with her on top. That's important, actually. But, there's a thunderstorm brewing, and before you know it, ZAP! She gets hi

Don't worry about it. People have been hurt far worse during intercourse. If you want to hear the worst I've ever heard of, you'll need to ask since it's very, very not safe for work, children, or the average person's sanity.

"Oh, I'm in a sling. Dislocated my shoulder. Again. It happens like every other day, really." Dislocated... common... occurrance?! Something just slid out my ear. Wait, ti seemms to be my brainnnn. *thud*

Hokay, I love, love, LOVE Firefox, and most other OSS (Open Source Software). Few things. Yes, malware writers will being targeting Firefox because of it's increased popularity. However, because it's open source, it takes about five minutes for a bug to be discovered, documented, and patched. There was recently something like this, and almost as soon as it was discovered it was fixed. How long does IE go from discovery to patch, eh? <

Hey, hitting the thing is a great last resort solution. And depending on your service plan, you can probably pass it off as an "accident" if it breaks. But the thing is, that even the people in Seattle were reading from the manual. And it's SEATTLE. So it's like talking to a really dense wall. You just need to find a computer guy near you. They're pretty relia

My comment in the above thread seems out of place. Need to remember to read the other entries before commenting... Don't forget to run Windows Update at least once a week. It's good to stay on top of things like that. www.cleansoftware.org CleanSoftware.org is basically of list of (mostly) free and often open-source software, mostly for Windows, that is devoid of spyware, virii, etc. From that site, I've gotten Avast! Last time I called HP-Compaq tech support I got people from Seattle. Seattle. No offense to anyone in the Seattle area, but when your main exports are Starbucks, Grunge music, and Microsoft I hold you a bit in contempt. Nothing personal. But outside of stupid flaws (an update site that doesn't have the BIOS installer, a hard drive that disconnects itself from the mobo) my laptop runs fairly well. Oh, I'd like to pimp out http://www.clean

I've heard of a group that will take your cremains and mix it with cement and such to be dropped into the sea as a replacement base thingy for coral reefs. I think that this is the coolest thing in the world.
