Does anyone have problems searching the forums? Every time I hit the search button it just sits there then eventually times out with this error. I realize this is something on my side. I can search other forum sites, well except for the stardock forum site it does the same thing. I'm using vista and it doesn't matter what browser I'm using. Thanks for the help. There was an error accessing the search service. System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote ser

Was checking out the today's favorites on Wincustomize.com today and noticed something in the screen shot on one of the windowblinds downloads. Does anyone know how to show icons on the right side of the start menu in Vista? I've looked everywhere and I'm unable to find the answer. I think this maybe something you can only do in XP?? Check out this screen shot if your not sure what I'm talking about... http://www.ninjadust.c

Yeah I had show betas checked. At this point I only really care about soundpackager. I didn't see a beta version of SP so I assume there isn't one. I installed version 1.00.009 from SDC. I also tried install the demo version off the stardock.com with the same problem. I did a uninstall of soundpackager, reboot then I ran cclean on the registry and removed any folders related to soundpackager in my user directory, rebooted and then reinstalled. For some reason I can't even get through the install

I've been running CursorFX Plus, Object Desktop and Object Dock Plus for a couple of months now on my 2.0gig dual core Asus laptop 4gigs of memory installed with vista x32 home edition. There are some programs that I can never get to work. They won't even open. I've tried the uninstall and reinstall thing and it hasn't worked. I think these programs maybe XP only. Are all the object desktop programs supposed to work with vista? The only one that I really would

I downloaded the Wincustomize Browser and when I download anything the status bar at the bottom says the download was successful but the file never downloads. Anyone know what the problems is? The KB indicator even shows the bits incrementing up like it is being download but when you look into the directory there's nothing. I did a search on the PC so I know the files aren't being downloaded. Is this thing not vista compatable? I paid 20 bones for a premium membership because I thought this wou

Okay after some digging around I figured it out. If you go to Tools-->Folder Options then click the view tab then check "Always show icons, never thumbnails. This will show the installed icons weather you select the view to be small, medium, large or extra large. The only downfall is that all you picture files including icons, wallpapers, ect... will show up as a default icon instead of that neat preview image. Bummer. Guess I'll change it back because I what to be able to look at my icon f

Welcome to the dark side!!! haha Before I bought my laptop from newegg I read all the vista bashing reviews but like you I'm complete pleased with it. The only thing I would recommend is that you don't try and run vista with 1 gig of ram. I think 2 gigs is needed for smoother operation.

Like the title says...When I install an icon package using icon packager it does not install the medium, large or extra large icons. If I view the folders using small icons the installed icons show up but when I switch the view to medium, large or extra large the icons are all the default (the old school yellow folder icons). I tried going into icon packager and doing a rebuild cache then repair icon images the icons will change to the correct installed icons for a couple of seconds
