Showing Start Menu Icons

Was checking out the today's favorites on Wincustomize.com today and noticed something in the screen shot on one of the  windowblinds downloads. Does anyone know how to show icons on the right side of the start menu in Vista? I've looked everywhere and I'm unable to find the answer.  I think this maybe something you can only do in XP??  Check out this screen shot if your not sure what I'm talking about...

Yep that's an XP screenshot, don't think it's possible in Vista.
