You are a poser... I haven't yet seen on this thread, with the obvious exception of rabidrobot, a post that is grounded in reality rather than emotion. Your reality maybe. People feel passionately about things sometimes....get over it. <TABLE ce

Don't preach to me about *nix you poser. I've been using it (and administering it) since before you were born, so I'm well aware of its advantages and disadvantages. Read the thread again genius, nobody spread FUD about *nix. The bottom line is, kona starts out with: I'm not gonna to get Vista. If I buy a new PC with Vista on it I'm gonna say no to the

Judging from your post, Orion, you're pretty happy with it as well....as are so many who HAVE actually tried it out. Yes, quite happy. This OS is this admin's dream. I have had a few problems with it...but it certainly isn't the fault of the OS. I've had to spend a few hours this last week re-coding some inter-process-com

I'm not gonna to get Vista. If I buy a new PC with Vista on it I'm gonna say no to the EULA and either put Linux or XP on it. Then I'm gonna sit back and smile when threads like "I have to buy a new Vista License because MS said mine is pirated (Because when Vista called home things got fouled up. Vista is supposed to call home every 2 months)" or "I can't play any MP3 fil

Time to get a new PC, your old one won't be good enough. Misleading. As I've said before on a P4-2.4 512MB class system (I have hundreds of these at work) Vista runs as fast, if not faster on this class box. I did read the article, and yes, it is more specific with something like "not the full Vista

@Threi: So, start an off-topic thread (post) and I would be happy to join you there for a lively debate. Give me your hardluck story. Tell me all about how you're not still on your parent's dime. Tell me why you're so generous with other peoples' money. Tell me all about how and why my "wealth" would/should be redestributed. Yes, I am one of those rich (well, very-well-off), gun-toting, heartless, selfish people that likes to keep the m

but to anyone who buys this i say to you that this is a prime example of the imbalance of wealth in the world I don't know where to even begin with all that's wrong with that ignorant statement. When you actually have to earn a living and support yourself and a family, you'll begin to feel differentl

That's funny. I just read another article yesterday that was quite the opposite. I guess it really doesn't matter, people and companies are going to do what they're going to do. Since our two-factor authentication scheme we use doesn't work on Vista yet, I'm in no rush to shove it out to my enterprise. I personally don't think my Joe/Jane Blow users would see any benefit over XP. Powerusers on the other hand.... <img src="http://images.stardock.com

I agree with you on most of your points. I'm far from a Stardock fanboy or diehard...just read my ObjectBar threads and newsgroup posts So.....I actually try to offer a constructive suggestion and you behave like a prick...ranting and raving on like an idiot. Console2 is actually a very good command prompt replacement that has other features that may help you since yo

I don't think you can do this currently. It's a very cool idea though. They've already got to be enumerating the list of files for that pop-up list, so I would think that it would be pretty simple to add a filter.

Bug: The taskbar is two-high. You can resize it up (larger) but not down smaller than two-taskbars-high. You can sometimes get around this by moving the taskbars from the bottom to the sides and top and then back to the bottom again. Also in many cases, there is no resize arrow for the taskbar when you hover over the appropriate
