Hello Stardock. ... haven't used Launch 8 for quite a few months ... a previous version of it was a bit of work. Just want to thank you for the current version which works perfectly !!!!!!!! Every shortcut and icon works !!!!! Wow ! Thanks for Launch 8. [e digicons]5*[/e] btw, the reason, I like it, is because it allows for tile shortcuts to be placed where I need

Hello and Thanks in advance. I could be wrong, but I think we used to be able to uninstall a program on the same OS and machine and reinstall it without a new activation. With the new deactivate license option, (which I like), if we uninstall a program, is the license automatically deactivated? In other words, If a program is uninstalled without deactivating first, do we lose an activation? The reason I ask is, because, now, if a program is uninsta

Tried another OS. Windows 8.1 still nothing - does not work here either ? :( Only using deskscapes. No Blinds or other at the moment. Have the testers tried it on Windows 8.1 NOT 8.1.1 + ? Would a Windows update block ShadowFX from running? Have the testers tried it on Server 2012 ? Just saying... it's
Hello. Not now (not using WindowBlinds at the moment - not installed). Only deskscapes. I was hoping to get drop shadows on the standard flat look (default)
Also, ditto. Nothing. No Shadow FX at all for any window.
Hello. Just purchased Shadow FX. Are you sure it works? "a dumb question?" Says, system requirements 8.1, 8 or server 2012 Just tried it on Server 2012. Nothing. Is there supposed to be an apply button? Or instant when selecting an FX? OS has all the updates, tried signing out, tried restart - nothing ?? I am sole user and admin, no policy changes, - deskscapes, window blinds, cursor FX, d&ea
The problem with that number74 is that that X is actually an image, it is not a font. The only way to enlarge it is to create a new image and to use SkinStudio to install it into the skin.
ok. Thanks. I like Blinds but find skin studio a little bit like ... it's work !! It's, to me, not a simple point and click trial and error program. It seems like it requires
Hello. When looking at "Fonts" ..., there is a box that lists font 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 etc... Does anyone know how to resize the title bar itself that includes the top right button size ? I would like to increase the size of the close X buttons , top right corner. (need to change the skin button size) It's a little annoying trying to poke around at a needle point sized close button. Thanks Stardock. Modern Mix is awesome !!
Getting used to running the metro IE and Netflix side by side in Modern Mix windows on the desktop. What can I say, I am a fan of the metro IE. I tried running Netflix with the desktop IE with Silverlight installed, you can get to your account and lists but nothing will run in Windows 811. At least for now... Love that F10 toggle . It's amazing how your pro
Hello. Just started using Modern Mix 1.15 Works great on the desktop !! Any way to have Netflix running in the background with sound, in a Modern Mix window on the desktop, while surfing with the metro IE fullscreen ? I noticed you can have Netflix sound running while on the start screen or ap
how did you set animated wallpaper for tiles?? Windows Update 1 now 8.1.1 seems to have fixed this issue unless it was an updated Intel fix. I think it was probably Update 1. Using 1 monitor, Can NOW resize display to LARGER and set resolution to default 1920 x 1080 and DESKCAPES works fine. [e digicons]5*[/e] If there is an occasional unexpected pause, simply restarting explorer.exe from the task manager gets it going. [e digicons][/e]
I bought DeskScapes in November and I have a feature request. Can Stardock make DeskScapes play the video only when the desktop is fully shown and all windows are minimized (or when doing Aero Peek) but not play the video at all if only a part of the desktop background is showing? A checkbox option like "Play only when all windows are minimized". I know Deskscapes automatically stops playing the video when a window is maximized, but I don't want the video to p

got it working nicely now! [e digicons]5*[/e] changed resolution to 1366 x 768 on this 37 inch HDTV PC monitor + TV and changed the font type and increased the size to 12 and bold.
@ sydneysiders Thanks for the info on high res monitors working better with deskscapes and resizing. My monitors are maxed at 1920 x 1080 and that is where they will stay. Have no plans to upgrade to a higher res monitor. @ neone6 I find that Windows Blinds does a great job of skinning Windows. Winstep also works well. There are other animated wallpaper programs that have the same result as deskscapes so I do not fault deskscapes.<
Deskscapes is now compatible with personalization resizing when setting to a larger display size Using 1 monitor, with Update 1 (Windows 8.1.1) @ 1920 x 1080 + LARGER = ok. Deskscapes = [e digicons]5*[/e]

Or waiting for the latest Version?
If Launch8 hangs, or it seems there is no access to the desktop in Windows, when looking at the start screen with a hung (or blank) Launch8, you can press Win + D to get to the desktop, then right click on the taskbar , select the Task Manager , scroll down in background
Hello All. Deskscapes 8.1 works beautifully now. Got dreams working on the start screen, apps area and desktop. Beautiful! Thanks Stardock. p.s. I did have to upgrade to the latest NVidia Driver for Windows 8.1. Thanks Again. And for Launch8. Wow!
Not privy. Just guessing based on error 503 but that is speculation also. The software continues to request a license renewal and some have received responses and new licenses ... I don't know. If a site was deleted, wouldn't it be error 401? I don't know. Anyway, there is no expiration or activation limits (or activation schemes) on Winstep tools that I know of. It's possible it's over and done. Who knows.
The site is under maintenance. Winstep is probably the most configurable and compatible customization tool in existence.

Ok. It does well with dragging pinned metro apps to the dock except the metro ie. With ie set to always launch metro style, dragging the pinned metro ie tile to Launch8 will only create a link to the desktop ie. It also does well with listed shortcuts and apps. Some icons may need work. I know it's early in beta. Still, since I do not use many tiles, Stardock is providing a feature that should have been there all along. I like the p
