I've just installed the latest update (2.6) and I'm very happy to report that the icons now just mention "Settings" or "Control Panel" when hovering over them, instead of the dreadful elaborate description. Thanks Stardock Team for listening to our comments !

Almost 3 years have past since this initial post, but it appears this request has fallen on a cold stone within the development team. Yet, it's also a frustration I share.... Yes you can change the shortcut icons on the left side of the start menu, but not the hover text... I don't want some long sentence here, I just want the name of the program/settings I'm hovering. For example, I just want "Settings" when hovering over the settings icon, not the full explaination of what i
