Alas, doing those steps resulted in no change, the OneDrive menu still pops up underneath the vertical-left-side taskbar. Well that's good in a way, I'd rather have it be something that I might be able to fix without having to wait for an update. Hi. I just did the Start11 2.55 update. I have my taskbar set vertically on the left, and I normally use a second monitor positioned to the left of the main display (I have confirmed that this problem occurs whether the 2nd monitor is in use or unplugged).
