Thanks, good info. Didn't think about the docklets. Chris, I'm not worried about it. I run backups nightly on all of my servers and workstations at home and the activity on this box was compromising that. It isn't worry, just something I needed to fix ;o) Thanks again!
Using process explorer from sysinternals, I found that ObjectDock is doing some kind of i/o activity about every second. It is continuous and does not stop until OD is unloaded. The graph looks like a heart monitor. I am using an open file agent for backups on my workstation and it needs a minimum of 2 seconds of no activity in order to function correctly. It's having a hard time getting a snapshot of the drive when OD is running. Troubleshooting the backup is how I found OD doing this
