So what happens with the update is that explorer patcher breaks but keeps running its broken dll. With the broken dll running then start 11 will not run. When you rename the dxgi.dll to dxgio.dll and restart explorer then start 11 runs fine again. If you try out explorerpatcher it is important you know what you are getting yourself into. I just downloaded the beta 1 version and can see this has been a busy thread and I apologize if I am requesting something that has already been asked for. I do like the roll up feature of fences, however, to make the workflow easier it would be nice if the rollout tab could be smaller. About the size of a tab in a taskbar, but still allow the fence to be larger and take up as much of the screen as desired. This way I could have several tab rollouts laid across the top or botto

That does make sense to me. I suppose the biggest challenge of this generation of operating systems is going to be that the lines are not as clearly defined like they used to be. Back in the olden days everything was either Mac or PC. Now the directions seem to be mixing together a bit. Everyone offers a little of something, but no one offers everything.

Fair enough, I think we will both agree that no one really knows as it is one of those things like a fork in the road. I do realize that Apple is going to sit with ARM processors for a while, I myself am not an apple user. I am curious how high of a demand there actually is to run windows 11 on mac devices and if it is high, how is this happening?

Intel is actually a bit more complicated; to simply say they are moving towards ARM processors is incorrect. They may be dipping their toe into ARM processors, but their main strategy is to fend off the ARM processor threat. They are actually working on making the next line of X86 chips more flexible and hope to have answers to the advantages of ARM processors in the future. The dust has far from settled as to what the future of processors actually is.

Under the configuration button go to the (left handed shortcut section) and then to the (show at least) ----- [xx] shortcuts and adjust it up with the slider. I do think it would be easier if windows 7 and modern theme functioned similar to windows 10 and 11 theme and allowed to adjust the size via mouse pull on the top / sides.

I do feel the overall price tag is fair here, especially since star dock is committed to continuing development particularly into the taskbar. This is true, and I do like the pin folder option that was added recently as that makes things a bit easier. So I can't complain about that feature as it makes functionality good. But, from a personalization view it would be cool to have more choices.

When adding "standard locations" to the shortcut list in windows 10 and 11 themes every options has a unique icon. But when adding a "custom location" every icon has a standard folder icon. So when you have multiple custom locations you have multiple icons that look the exact same. It would be better if there was more variation for the custom location icon even if it was something as simple as letters.

One thing I learned from a house inspector is that not all outlets are grounded even if there is a grounded plug in slot. One thing is for sure. Windows 11 definitely needs modifications... I would go as far as to say windows 11 doesn't even have a taskbar anymore. They took it away and replaced it with an app launching dock which doesn't make a whole lot of sense because they also have an app launching start menu. So essentially Windows 11 has 2 app launching designations and no taskbar.
