a customer base which is more likely to customize their computers in other ways.
I have to agree with you there. I used Object Bar/Object Dock/WindowBlinds a lot in the past alongside other customization tweaks & it usually all played nice. You'd think something designed for customization would find ways to play nice with other forms of customization these days.
WindowBlinds ® 11 Customize the look and feel of your Windows 10 and Windows 11 Start menu*, taskbar , window frames, and more. *Start menu skinning requires Start11
Where does that indicate that Start11 is required to skin the taskbar? Very misleading.
Unfortunately we cannot provide support for ExplorerPatcher. The software is designed for use on an unmodified version of Windows 10/11.
"The software is designed for use on an unmodified version of Windows" Do you understand how ridiculous that is? This is all about customization/personalization of the Windows environment.
I to have been having this same issue. It has happened on both windows 10/11. I dont use any other customization software that would clash. It only goes away after a reboot and sometimes just comes back. You can stop it temporarily for the current item by dragging up on the taskbar pins but it will come back once you hover over them again. This has been around for a really long time now. I suspect its related to start11v2 as it does no

Here we are in August, hasn't happened once since I stopped the WindowBlinds service. The only piece of software I'm running that would be the same between the different systems would be Open-Shell (Classic-Shell), I could see that being a possibility. The problem there, if Stardock refuses to do anything to try & fix the issue, is that I will not switch to Start11 or other related start menu alternatives as Start11 honestly sucks & the others seem to have issues of their own

Here's an update. I had only unloaded WindowBlinds, the service was still running in the background. Now, I hadn't had the issue since I unloaded WindowBlinds, until a couple of days ago. That being what it was, I stopped the service this time & we'll see if the issue still presents itself but given how long it took this last time it could be a bit.
The issue is unknown since we can not reproduce the issue on our end. And you will notice that it been few months and no one else has come in and said they too have this issue. That tell us that the issue most probably unique in your system. Conflicting with other software that run in all your previous system too. I did asked you to try cleanboot (Reply#11), but somehow you're not interested to try it. Thank you, Basj,<br /
My idea is to try to find out IF and how and why and where there is a possible software conflict, but it looks like you have decided to move on.......
This was happening years ago on Windows 10 (separate computer & install of Windows) as well so I'm not sure what it could be & I'm tired of getting nowhere with the people I paid to get the software.
Taskbar buttons are painted differently on Windows 11 and Windows 10 with WB and Start11 so the problem is a curious one. There is one possible common thing but I would expect it to act consistently always. Can you post a screenshot of the problem please using one of the including skins from WB11 please.
Maybe some other 3rd party application conflicting the thing. Thank you, Basj, Stardock Community Assistant
I mean it's possible but it only happens when I'm running WindowBlinds. It also happened on Windows 10/WindowBlinds 10 before I ended up having to upgrade to an entirely new system with Windows 11 & it's doing it again.

Is there a particular issue you are looking in to?
Just things around here in general. I see paid software pushed more now than it used to be. I know they want to make money but some things could be fixed other ways than pushing more paid software. Sorry, just a personal issue with the state of things as I'
I remember the days when people used to be way more into these kinds of things. bobj420, by "these kinds of things", I'm guessing you mean registry tweaks to bring back features that are there but just 'hidden' by MS? Well, not everyone knows how to edit the registry, for example. Moreover, SD's programs do a lot more than that. But then, I'm just guessing here as to
