Some one of these docks is a set of icons that are a duplicate of another dock I'm trying to redo at the moment. The duplicated dock (not the tabbed one) is the one showing the artifacts here. Dock 1 (settings 1) is not an issue. Settings 2 is the new dock causing the artifacts, Settings 3 is the dock I'm going to get rid of (copying the shortcuts to Settings 2 and then deleting it) [Settings] NumberOfDocks=3 FinishedSaving=1 Version=3

I have 3 monitors, on the far right, I have a dock hugging the left side of the screen, but it's creating lines on the middle monitor when visible on the left edge of the middle monitor. See the screenshot. If I hide the dock the artifacts go away. I've highlighted the dock and the artifacts with a red box. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/69/84/6984981/5253a4f9-a70d-

After deleting the Group registry value then setting DelayedAutoStart to 1, delayed start works, it also has the desired effect of not starting until everything else has already loaded in the OS. This could have been an easy change on your end without users having to go into the registry to get the desired effect. It would probably be better and cleaner to add an

Here's what I'm talking about, since I couldn't just set it to delayed start, from services, I went and stopped the service, I then switched it to delayed start and got a message ""The delayed auto-start flag could not be set. Error 87: The parameter is incorrect." Looking at the registry, it appears you set the Group to "UIGroup" which is most likely causing window

Exactly, your service doesn't have an option built in for setting delayed start. It's more a feature request, there is no "cause" to fix, just add one of the service start options of "delayed start", for instance if I were to set one of my services I've written I would do something like this: SCMHandle := OpenSCManager(nil, nil, SC_MANAGER_ALL_ACCESS); if SCMHandle <> 0 then begin ServiceHandle := OpenService(SCMHandle, PChar

Yeah, I’ve been seeing similar things, had it crash twice on system boot yesterday. It’s the latest Windows updates I think. I’m going to try the beta start 11 later when I get a chance after work.

I would like to set the service to "Automatic (Delayed Start)" to reduce the impact on system performance at boot, but I get an error "Error 87: The parameter is incorrect." when trying to switch it to delayed start. I'm assuming you never put the option in for that startup parameter. It would be a nice to have to be able to set it to delayed start, that way it doesn't impact the OS loading everything during start up. Deskscapes has quite a performance impact on the system at boot.</p

Sometimes after starting my computer I have to click on the task bar to get them to load, other times it takes a good minute or two for them to load after boot. This just started happening after installing KB5066835 (regular OS patch cadence), KB5066131 (.NET cumulative update) and KB5068331 (.NET security update for x64 client). Thanks for the reply, it appears docking in any horizontal orientation will allow for icon movement. Neither vertical orientation (left and right edge) works. Version of ObjectDock: 3.01 Windows 11 24h2 26100.4946 I can do the workaround for now. Might want to consider fixing it for vertical orientations, or at least include that note about needing the dock to be horizontal for dragging icons in the in-app help.

Was curious if maybe adding the option to delay start the service or an option to delay the start of playing animations has been added? I ended up having to uninstall it this morning after using it for the last 10 years due to it being so hard on performance when booting

So I run a matrix code animated wallpaper, have been forever, probably since 2014. It is super CPU intensive, on a 4790k usually keeps all the cores around 30% utilization. I do have it set to best performance. Part of the problem may also be an excessive amount of monitors. I have 7, 3 on my main GPU and 4 on external USB GPUs. Unfortunately this can cause all kinds of performance issues on start up. It would be great if you could set the service to delayed start (doesn't allow it cu
