It isn't just Darken Windows, I have that disabled. If I have WindowFX turned on, toggling task view causes problems. It doesn't launch (though the screen darkens) and two "Task View" items appear on the Alt+Tab switcher (one for each monitor I suppose) but nothing works. Eventually if I wait long enough, I can Win+Tab and it will bring up the Task View but it is laggy and doesn't work properly. All I can do at that point is toggle it off via the taskbar. If I turn off WindowFX, I can taskbar

Ah... I finally tracked down the source of my issues! I have this same problem. Any idea if there is a fix in the works? This feature has been out in Windows for a while. OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134 Adapter Description NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Driver Version 24.21.13.9764 WindowFX 6.03 I do NOT have the darken background windows feature active but if I have WindowFX on and toggle task view

My Object Desktop Manager says my WindowFX 6 is up-to-date and version 6.00, my OD subscription is current, and when I launch WindowFX, it says there are no updates when I check, but the app says "Version 6.0 BETA"... I was coming here to see if anyone else had the same periodic issue with windows going invisible when dragging until WindowFX was toggled off and on but I don't want to open a ticket if I'm somehow stuck on a beta...?

I did a few searches and came up empty other than talks about the preview. With several OD apps (Start8/10, SkinStudio8, WindowsBlinds7/8) have OS-specific versions, what's the proper way to transition a machine on Win7 SP1/Win8.1 to Win10 with the in-place upgrade? Are there issues with version-specific hooks that require uninstalling OD apps and then re-installing after the upgrade? Are the apps designed to just go inert if the OS version changes underneath them and then you can uninsta

Huh... Never tried doing that before so I didn't realize you could download straight to an archive. I'll give it a shot and see tomorrow when I'll have a chance to have both machines side-by-side. If it fails in the same place thing it must be something in the install itself.

I could but there are a couple of reasons I don't want to do that. First of all is the fact that I'm going from Win2K to WinXP so at least on of the programs that won't install is a completely diffrent version between the two (WindowBlinds) and the other is, I wanted to go with a clean install. Of course, since the download finishes and the install itself won't even complete, I have to suspect there is a chance even this won't succeed. I'll double check if any of the versions

Some ObjectDesktop components such as ObjectBar will download but stall during installation. They seem to always stall in the same spot (unique for each program). Trying to cancel them doesn't work and you have to close Stardock Central. For ObjectBar, it stalls at 5% which is the file "German (Germany).lang". This is a new install on a WinXP machine I'm moving to. Any thoughts?

(I couldn't figure out how to edit my post.) Also, is there a way to make the Natural Desktop corner window transparent always? I tried to add it as a per-application transparency setting but it didn't do anything to that window.
