You can do just about everything Windows Pro can do in the Group Policy editor in the Registry on Windows Home. Try an internet search for "remove notification icon from taskbar," or maybe ask Copilot.
Try using Tabs within your groups to save vertical real estate. I have over 190 icons on one page by using tabs on the Windows 10 style.
You can create another folder in documents/stardock and put your jpegs in. Add the folder in settings and you should have no more problems with jpegs..
It's easier to just change the file extension to .jpg, but that doesn't help DeskScapes users who are trying to download walls from within DeskScapes.
Are you by any chance also running Explorer Patcher? If so, update it to the latest version. Windows updates are notorious for breaking Explorer Patcher.
Go to WinCustomize and download this Icon set: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/icons/4749/ Enclosed in the ZIP file is a PDF file "Create Shortcuts for Windows 11 Settings" with directions on how to create shortcuts for specific Windows 11 Settings. You don't have to use my icons unless you like them. You can change the shortcut icons to anything you like. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/
Thanks Basj. Just wanted to let someone know. Sed was uploading some of his walls as .jpeg and I couldn't get them to work. I sent him a PM letting him know what was going on.
I recently had trouble with DeskScapes images downloaded from WinCustomize not showing up in DeskScapes ver. 11. If I downloaded the image from WinCustomize and then placed in the folder "C:\Users\"UserName"\AppData\Local\Stardock\DownloadedDreams," it would not show up in DeskScapes. If I downloaded the image from within DeskScapes, and then tried to "Apply background," I got the following message. "Unable to load this background. Typi

After doing a reset on all 3 tabs, and resetting the windows pointer size to it's lowest setting, everything looks great now! Thanks! In your screenshot, your cursor is in the search box and that is the Windows 11 Search panel, not your start menu. Please let us know your Windows full version info (use winver.exe) and your Start11 full version info.

Go to your account and login. https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products Download and install 2.0.6.2 Beta and then make the change in the Registry as discussed above.

Try downloading and installing the latest Beta version 2.0.6.2. Open the Registry and create a new String "S11_UseOldRightClickMenus" and set the value to 1. Use HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8 for the location of the new string. You will probably have to reboot for this to take effect. I think this is what you are looking for here. [e digicons][/e]
Does anyone actually believe that a PC that is over 10 years old is worth salvaging? That seems like a pretty frustrating build to work off of to me.
Agreed, but as I said above, computers that are from 2008 to now support POPCNT. See the list above. I'm pushing 7 years on my current Intel, Kaby Lake build, but it's still going strong. [e digicons]B)[/e]
My experience with support for StarDock software products has been excellent. It's better than any phone or email support because you have multiple experienced users trying to help you, and followed up by the development team if users are not able to help. My experience with email and phone support by most (not all) other software companies has been dismal. You are stuck with one person working from a script without the best knowledge of the software. Usually not much help at all.
It's hard to tell from your screenshot, but that looks like the system tray to me. Are you trying to have all the icons in the overflow section? If so, go to the Windows Settings>Personalization>Taskbar and then click on "Other system tray icons," and turn all the ones you want in the overflow to "Off."
I'm not really following your explanation very well, but are you by chance referring to "Peek?"
Glad everything worked out for you. Vivaldi is my main browser also. I’ve been using it since version 1.

I'm confused by your question as Wallpapers has always had its own statistics for Popular Wallpapers - All Time/Last 30 Days/Yesterday, and Top Wallpaper Skinners - All Time/Last 30 Days/Yesterday. DeskScapes Wallpapers, or Dreams (animated) also has its own statistics. I can see where there is a discrepancy in the naming convention on WinCustomize, as Dreams (animated wallpapers) are referred to as DeskScapes Wallpapers and also as Dreams.
RoundedTB has not been updated since November 2021. In fact the GitHub repository was archived by the author in September 2023. Since there will not bee any more updates or fixes, it's compatibility with Windows is sure to wane. I used RoundedTB on Windows 10 years ago, but upgraded to Stardock, Start11 in October of 2021. I am now using Start11v2 on Windows 11. It looks like Split Mode and toggle System Tray are the only features that Start11v2 does not support. Microsoft has hinted

You should at least consider updating to Windows 10 - 19045, so that your machine is protected with security updates. Just sayin'...
I cant imagine that computer with a processor that's older than 17 years would run 24H2 very well even if it was compatible. There are a couple of POPCNT emulators, but that sounds very risky even if it would work.
