Open as Folder Menu Feature Request in Start Menu Products Stardock Forums

In Start11v2, if you set a pined folder to "Open as folder menu," there needs to be an easier way to access a folder within this Folder Menu. As it is now, you have to right-click the folder and then select "Open." If there was a way to allow a double-click or a modifier key+click to open a folder within a Folder menu, that would be an awesome improvement. Thanks for considering this feature request. Just to clarify, If you are on Windows 10, the OS supports bottom, left, top, and right taskbars. It is not a function of Start11. However, if you use the enhanced taskbar of Start11, it does not support left or right taskbars, but does support top and bottom taskbars. If you are on Windows 11, the OS only supports bottom taskbars. The Start11 enhanced taskbar supports top and bottom taskbars. I tested this on my system, and I can’t reproduce this issue. I had 15 apps in the Hidden Icon Menu in the System Tray and it opened just as fast with and without the enhanced taskbar.

You can center the Start button with the Enhanced taskbar, but you have to use the default Windows 11 Start button.

I'm not exactly sure how you are getting the context (or flyout) menu color in your screenshot. The default for this menu is a translucent black. To change the Context (Flyout) menu color: Open RegEdit (Win+R and then type regedit and hit enter). Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.i

There is a way to configure the Start11v2 context menu, but it involves making some Stardock provided changes in the Registry, and a change in the Windows Settings>Personalization>Colors. Are you running Windows 10 or 11? Are you using the Enhanced Taskbar?

Perhaps this is where you saw the hide reference. If you right click and app in the All Apps list and select More>Hide from apps, this will put this app in the Hidden items list. I use ObjectDock 3 to accomplish this. There is a Recycle Bin Docklet which I use in a dock by itself and set the transparency to 100%. It works really well with my custom icons, and you can adjust the size.
