I thought a Folder Portal set as a Roll-Up Fence would be close, but I still have to double-click the shortcuts in the Folder Portal to launch the apps. At least I don't have to launch a File Explorer window, but I wanted something even even quicker.
Have you considered using the Windows 10 style in Start11v2? That's pretty much how it works. It's rolled up until you click the start button, and then a single-click opens any shortcut.

It seems that what is happening when you use Quick-hide, Fences is toggling "Show desktop icons" in the context menu. So, it looks like Fences are treated as icon elements on the desktop to the OS. That is most likely why you have to exclude the individual desktop icons (or Fences) from Quick-hide on a one by one basis.
You could create a new Fence and call it My Desktop, or what ever you like, and then create a new rule that places all new icons to the desktop go to the Fence you created. Now right-click that Fence and "E

On the subject of Doom and Gloom. We, as humans, just need to keep an eye on the world's militaries to make sure AI is kept in check. In this particular case, super-bugs vs. antibiotics is one of the world's greatest challenges for the future of humanity. If AI can solve this problem, it will save countless number of lives, as this problem is only going to get worse over time. And what about the next pandemic? I totally understand the fear of AI, but with the knowledge of what

Scientists spent 10 years on a superbug mystery - Google's AI solved it in 48 hours from TechSpot By Shawn Knight February 21, 2025 at 2:22 PM "Researchers at Imperial College London say an artificial intelligence-based science tool created by Google needed just 48 hours to solve a problem that took them roughly a decade to answer and verify on their own. The tool in question is called "co-scientist" and the
You could try this and see if it helps.
I also had an issue similar to Jafo. If I had been a newbie, I might have panicked. I downloaded the installer from my Account Downloads. At some point, he installer opened a dialog that said something about an Update being available which I closed, and then a dialog opened at the bottom of the screen covering the "Installing Fences" info dialog. Upon closing it, finally the restart Windows appeared. It was not a good process to say the least. I believe something is amiss with he installer.</

Awesome! I'm glad you found that setting. Not sure when that was added, but definitely an improvement. [e digicons][/e] I don't use multiple monitors, so it was grayed out in my settings and I missed it in the change logs, or maybe it's always been there and I never saw it.
Something I have noticed with this (2.5.2.1) update is that in the Windows 10 style, the selection rectangle on the last shortcut clicked remains when you open the start menu again until you mouse over the menu. This not a big deal for me, just wanted to bring it to your attention. Windows 11 Pro - 22631.4890 EDIT: After a recent restart, this behavior has been resolved.
Glad to Help. The Windows 10 style menu is very customizable. I use the Windows 10 style menu and have 233 Shortcuts and 27 Tabs, on two pages. I use the start11 menu to get to every app, folder, and file I use regularly. Here is what mine looks like.
With the Windows 10 style, use the Advanced options: You can also adjust the Global Menu Scaling in the Visual appearance, but you might also need to adjust the Font sizes.
I don't believe that option is available in the current version of Start11v2, but it has been requested several times.
There is one advantage to posting in the WinCustomize Wallpapers & Dream Galleries, and that is they are automatically integrated into the DeskScapes config app. This makes it easy for DeskScapes users to download and apply desktop backgrounds. I don't know if when a wall is downloaded from DeskScapes if it is added to the total downloads count in WinCustomize, but Doc or Jafo could probably answer that. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/69/28/6928565/f030ddd4-80a5-473c-862

I'm not sure what you are complaining about. The WinCustomize Gallery is basically the Sed & AzDude site, and has been for quite a while. At the beginning of the February 2025. it says: Show Us What You Got, Or Created, inviting others to post.

Start11v2 is totally compatible with Windows 10, so if you install it on your Windows 10 PC, you can then turn on the option to sync your Windows menu with the Start11 menu. After your get things the way you want, you can back up your settings in the Start11 config app. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/69/28/6928565/f9578a3f-1c1f-4
