Thanks for the update. It appears to be a bug in Microsoft search. It used to work great with Outlook 2010. Outlook itself has it's own search but in fact that search is less functional than the system built-in indexing. It was very handy to have emails and files that match a query both be available. The main reason I installed Start10 was because Windows 10 destroyed the search function under Start. It wants to do some kind of Cortana search of the entir

One of the mail reasons I like Start 10 is that it brings back the old (and so useful) search function. So I can search files on my local machine and my email, and NOT search the entire web. Email search finds relevant emails, but if I click on an email link to open it, a box pops up that says mapi16://...long string...
