All I was saying is that everything to me looks ok using StyleXP, I don't give a hoot if the shutdown/logoff box looks like luna blue. I have used both , I just prefer StyleXP, not knocking WB at all. I have used WB, just because there are many awesome themes for it, but I use StyleXP for the same reason, I just like it better, is that so wrong? No. I don't think so.

I was saying that StyleXP works better for me, it uses memory, anything you do does, but it does not create a slow down like I have experienced with WB. WB just seems kind of bloated and I have had it crash more than once while using it. Style XP has never crashed. That is something I take into account also. And you say it doesn't skin everything? Define everything....Everything on my pc is skinned with StyleXP.

Because of the all the centralized features in it I , I can change the login, wallpaper and the theme in one place. And the patch I wouldn't do because when I get tired of StyleXP, I just have to uninstall it, the patch seems like alot of unnecessary tinkering around to get things back the way they were I guess.

I understand where Frog is coming from, however I 'd have to disagree with the point about msstyles being slower and using more resources, etc. I am a fan of Style XP, and it runs alot smoother on my machine than WB does for some reason..this is a nearly new machine with alot of RAM too..I think there are equally good and bad things about both programs, I just prefer StyleXP, tho alotta great skins are made for WB as well. I do agree on the boot screen issue, I personally do not tinker with that

I am a hardcore Opera fan, but their latest is not the greatest, 7.11 is the best version so far, they changed the rendering engine and moofed it up, I been test driving one of the Firebird nightly builds, very good browser and fast too.(Don't tell anyone,I am not an IE person, but I think myIE2 is purdy good)

Yeah boot screen customizing might be popular, but I don't mess with it, just because I dont wanna accidentally do the wrong thing and have my machine hiccup because of a mistake..lol..But I have seen alot of really good ones over at themexp. Makes ya wonder how come MS doesn't make em fancier.....

Well not everyone is so tech savy, average users are the ones who will get exposed to that junk, no need for the nose thumbing. And if IE was so damn safe, how come there are patches released all the time for it? How friggin safe is that? IE needs to be layed to rest, or seriously revamped in my opinion,it is the only thing really hobbling Windows as far as safety goes, but that is just my opinion.

If you are using a browser other than IE, like Mozilla Firebird or Opera, you will have to instruct the browser to "open with default application".

Well I was surfing around and I found this at neowin, seems Hotmail is getting overhauled-again-I looked at the demo and the junk mail features look really good, thought I'd post this for those of us who use hotmail. http://www.neowin.net/comments.php?id=13835&category=main

I personally like the skins that have mouseovers where the start button is, I think those look cool, and start buttons or skin names in the start button area are ok as long as they aren't HUGE..
