Unfortunately having installed StartMenuX I cannot even make it uninstall as the uninstaller is buggy and just crashing out every other 32 bit process.
Wow, sorry to hear that. I have been using it for years, and never had this problem. May I suggest to use Revo Uninstaller? It's a great tool to remove all the remnant of a software hard to remove.
It is merely the nature of the beast

Hi, I'm evaluating the transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11 on various VMware virtual machines.. With W11 23H2, no problems mixing WB with various utilities like explorer-patcher and Start Menu X. But 23H2 will reach EOL this year. With W11 24H2 LTSC IoT (to get long time support without disrupting new features), I cannot make my favorite menu replacement (sorry [e digicons][/e] ) Start Menu X work with WB. I don't use with 24H2 explorer-pa

Here is an image showing the menu, explorer-patcher properties and a FF window on my VM: WindowBlinds works better on this VM than on the real PC where not only Firefox is not skinned, but the explorer patcher properties window is completely black when WB is running: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/6

Yes, Firefox only. Explorer and Librewolf skin properly. Rather than using the FF troubleshooting mode, I used something more radical: create a new blank profile so that Firefox starts without any modification (save for allowing "Title Bar" of course), which allows to keep my usual settings with a different session. That did not help. I also just tested Chrome with --disable-windows10-custom-titlebar, that did not work either. That's just to help diagnose

I de-activated, ran the cleaner script as admin, installed, activated and rebooted. I took all the steps that worked on my virtual machine, and it still does not work, Firefox titlebar is not skinned.

Hi, I tried to de-activate my license first in order to be able to activate it again, but I got this dialog: As you can see, there is a Back button, but nothing to confirm. Hitting Enter does not work. How do I accept here to deactivate?

Hi again, If I use Purge_WB on the real PC, will it erase all the customizations? In particular, I have a lot of excluded apps, so it would be annoying to redo every one.

Hi, I did that on a virtual machine with everything new, and it worked. Now, I have to try on the real one, and see if it also does. I'll keep you posted, no need to reply to this post. Thanks.

Hi again, I was mistaken, I might have started Librewolf instead (or it stopped working after a reboot, I'm not sure), because it does not work anymore. I did that: and that: <

Hi, I checked "Allow WindowBlinds to skin Firefox (title bar mode needs to be enabled and restart)", but it seems that the option with Firefox 139 on the "More Tools" menu is nolonger available. Is there a way now to skin Firefox? However, that works with Librewolf.

Hi, I installed the latest WB11 on a Windows 11 22H3 brand new system, and I get: WindowBlinds does not appear to be installed correctly on your machine. Would you like to try to fix this issue now? If you are using ESET antivirus this can cause this, see support for help on fixing it. I have no anti-virus installed.

Hi, I am using: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (19041.vb_release.191206-1406) WindowBlinds 11.02 (017 - Windows 10 Edition) - 64 bit OS I wrote more than 20 years ago a Windows text editor using at the time the very low level C WIN32 API. There is a lot of code, and nowadays this would have been written with the more elaborate classes that VisualStudio offers, but it's out of the question to re-write it. My app is just not compatible with WindowsBlind, the ve

By looking into these programs, I remembered that I used Paint.net 5 years ago to create my modified styles. After all this time, I just forgot that Paint and Paint.net are 2 different things. Paint.net is 100 times better. And indeed, it works now. I have still problems sometimes to apply the changes, it seems random. I have sometimes to apply a different skin and then go back the modified one to finally see the edits I made. Anyway, thanks.

Yes, it's exactly what I was doing. But somehow, changing the dot colors changes also the whole background to black. From what you said, it's likely the program I use. Paint is annoying with a high res monitor: It cannot scale more than 800%, and that's not enough to be accurate for a dot by dot coloring, the dots are still too small. I'll see what I can find, and get back to you.
