It does sound similar to what I've been experiencing (although lately it doesn't seem to be happening). Please let us know. 👍

I'm experiencing Windows 11 shutting down after a few hours of inactivity (I normally leave the system on overnight so it can back up). Alternately, it will go into sleep or hibernation mode and I have a lot of trouble waking it up. Sometimes I have to shut it down and reboot. The problems seem to go away when I disable Fences. Has anyone else experienced this or anything like it? (I'm using version 5.)
Hello - I downloaded Fences 5 and initiated the 30 day trial. I'm now able to access all functionality on the Windows 11 desktop, but the Fences nowcollapse and rearrange themselves. I never experienced this with Fences 2. I go back and forth between two external monitors, but it doesn't happen as soon as I move my laptop from one monitor to another; it can take several hours, so I don't think that has anything to do with it. Fences simply isn't retaining a memory of its layout.
Okay, thank you.
I still can't sort icons outside of fences, however. I don't have many of them, but I should be able to.
Never mind; I figured it out. I used to be able to right-click anywhere in the fence to get the sorting options for it. At some point, they changed it to right-clicking on the title bar. It's working now. Thank you.
I just installed the latest version, on a new system. I'm not going through all of that.
1. Windows 11 Home, Build no. 22631.4112 2. Fences version 3.1.6.1 3. As far as I know, they're normal fences.
I used to use Fences in Windows 10. I was able to sort by name within a fence. I then switched to Windows 11. For a while it worked the same way, but in recent months I've found I can no longer sort by name either within a Fence or outside of it. If I disable Fences, Windows regains the ability to sort by name, but as soon as I re-enable it, I can no longer sort. I thought perhaps it was an irregularity in my system, but I've just switched to a new laptop and I'm having the same issue
Just venting... Stardock refuses to make a Mac version of Fences, but the first image on their product page for Fences 4 looks for all the world like an iMac. 🙄
Thank you. I tried that and it had no effect at first, then I realized I had to reboot. All good now.
Recently installed Start10 on a new system. It worked for a while, then suddenly reverted to showing Windows 10 menu with tiles - however, when I click on the Start button, Windows 7 style menu comes up and tiles disappear. In neither mode can I see files/folders on my desktop. I tried right-clicking on taskbar to disable Windows 10 menu entirely, but I don't see a Properties option.
I'm sure this question gets asked all the time, but I did a search and it didn't come up. I'm on a MacBook Pro, and run Windows as well as OS X. I've been using Fences for years, going back to long before I switched to the Mac. (I also use Start 10; they're both great products.) I would LOVE to be able to use Fences on my OS X desktop. Is there any chance of seeing a Mac version of Fences in the foreseeable future?
