I found a very useful work-around for this! Windows Start menu will respond to shortcuts placed in the folder C: > ProgramData > Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > Programs. For example, I added a folder "Favourites" under the latter folder. Then, I added shortcuts to favourite files (Word, Excel, Video, etc) into the folder Favourites by (1) R-clicking on each file in turn (2) creating a shortcut on the Desktop and (3) moving the shortcut (copy/pas

The most useful feature for me in the Start Menu for Win7 was that Word and Excel had a ‘menu’ (expand arrow at right) that showed Pinned and Recently opened files. A R-click on any recent file/doc could then be placed in the pinned list. This gave quick access to desired files. I have just began using Start10 and it looks great so far. However, I cannot replicate the above feature. Any suggestions? Thanks
