Yes, I think you're right . . . I removed the grouping rule for Explorer and the problem persists for multiple (non-grouped) Explorer windows on waking from sleep. I'll have to look elsewhere. Next on the list is the network adapter. Thanks for your help.

Yes, those are my settings and that is the behaviour I get until I put the machine to sleep. On waking, every Google Drive connected tab reverts to the File Explorer default new tab setting ( "Quick Access" or "This PC").

Thanks for your reply. Two observations: 1. After disabling the option to start Everything on startup in the app preferences and rebooting, the "-startup" entry in .groupy is still then when saving the group. The only way to remove same is to do so manually in my text editor and re-save the file. 2. After removing "-startup" as above, clicking on the .groupy file opens both apps (previously only TextPad opened) . . . but they are not grouped.
