Hey all, I have win 2000 at work...and would really like to make it less drab, however alot of skinds are tempermental with win 2000...one of the problems is we us a communication program called sametime, and normally when someone messages you, the taskbutton blinks...almost everysingle theme prevents this...
I am not sure if it is because I have a 64 bit processor or not, but this program has been a complete waste of 50$. I am not an uneducated computer user. In fact I design code and databases for a major company. this program has caused nothing but a constant stream of memory errors, program compatibility and general computer unhappyness. The worst part is, anytime I tried to contact customer support they made it like it was my fault! Fact of the matter

I don't know why you would say its crap, ive been using it for 6 months now, and neither adaware or spybot have found one single spyware. Nvidias firewall uses your current web browser to manipulate its properties, much the same as a linksys router. perhaps its disabling an api call procedure or activex control

Yea the nvidia firewall is the firewall that comes standard with nforce 4 motherboards. The main problem is i cant get into my firewall settings to see if anything is disabled. When I go to my firewall properties I get errors when I try to click on anything, and I cannot adjust the settings. I unload all themes, and suddenly everything is fine again.

see topic. When I load a theme, I can test my network and see that my firewall is not working. Furthermore, I cannot change my nvidia firewall settings, without getting an NMI error: page is busy and cannot be used by this service. Any ideas? Im on win xp pro.
I want to use this for work as well, however win 2000 seems to not quite get everything changed when I update a skin, and alot of items dont appear, like object docs, or the start bar doesnt look correct.
