It was not set to Lock but I tried selecting it then unselecting it and (at least for now) I am able to move icons. Maybe pass this on to developers?

I'm trying to drag an icon that is in a fence from one desktop to another. I drag it to the edge, the desktop changes, I drop the icon. It disappears. I return to the original desktop - it is still there. W10 V1803 Build 17134.1304. Fences V3.1.3.3. BTW I'm about to migrate to a new PC and upgrade my Windows and Fences but I'd like to know what is causing this issue. Thanks.
I have a license on Machine A. I'm about to move to Machine B. I downloaded your latest version onto Machine B, which is a completely clean W10 install. 21H1 19043 Build. I click Enable but it never enables and doesn't work - its like it isn't there. Nothing I've seen in Event Log. Just doesn't work. Installed V3.1.3.3 after uninstalling latest. It works. So it isn't one user.
I read that to restore Fences layout from another Windows installation, to copy the folder containing the snapshot backups to the same location on the new install. The same support item also lists a Registry key to restore. Are both of these required or only one? Which one is preferred? What if the layout specifies an icon but that icon doesn't yet exist in the new install? Thank-you.
It seems if you add an item to the right side start using Advanced, they are always added as a LINK and not a menu and you have to use Advanced because the folder doesn't show in the regular list.
Since this problem was so major and lasted for so long, care to share WHAT caused the problem, if it is not too proprietary - just dying of curiousity.
This option is de-selected, so this isn't the problem.
Question in title.
I disagree with the posters saying Explorer shouldn't be crashing that this is an MS issue. This is NOT what people are complaining about. If Explorer crashes or is terminated on purpose, when it is re-started, so should Fences. As others have stated, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. However unlike others, I've never had to re-boot. Logoff/logon yes. Big difference. But yes this is
I'm installing Windows 10 Anniversary Edition - installing all of my software will take days. How can I move my current Fence configuration to the newly installed Windows from my old install? Not talking about installing the software - asking about how to migrate my configuration. Thanks.
