Migratin Fences to a newly installed Windows

I'm installing Windows 10 Anniversary Edition - installing all of my software will take days.  How can I move my current Fence configuration to the newly installed Windows from my old install?  Not talking about installing the software - asking about how to migrate my configuration.  Thanks.

Garry - I'm in the same boat - since no one answered you, did you ever figure it out?

Or is this a manual process?

thanks

Garry - this looks like it has promise: https://forums.stardock.com/451630

I'll re-post to see if it worked....  Mind you, you have to have everything on your desktop already there (I would think).

The only question would be if 3.0 can consume 2.0 files.

The easiest way to backup and restore Fences settings is via the snapshot system. Simply copy the snapshots from one machine to the other, then restore the snapshot:

Snapshots are stored in the following directories:

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Stardock\Fences\Backups
Vista/7/8/10: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Stardock\Fences\Backups
You will need to replace USERNAME with your user account name on your PC.

Alternatively, you can import the following registry key into the new machine's registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Fences

To restore a snapshot:

-Right click on the desktop and select "Configure Fences..."
-Click on "Layout and snapping" on the left hand side of the configuration window that appears.
-Select a snapshot you wish to revert to. A preview window will appear showing you what the desktop will look like.
-Click Restore Snapshot to revert the desktop to this preview.

 :banhammer:    Oh Captain Obvious, use the provided feature to do this?  Way too easy.

Poking fun at myself, I never new that thing existed.  Appreciate you kindly pointing out the obvious.
