Did the joint venture flame down for good ? or is Paul and Fred brewing anything new on their own ?

PHEWWWW.. All these comments about over sophisticating things gives me a headache. NO...The answer is simple, really it is: The next Star Control Essentially Needs: More retro style gameplay (but with modern graphics). Though planet lander scouting was repetitious in SC2, it was nice to see the whole planet from the 3rd person perspective.(so explore this option, with a modern take on it) Bring on board Paul and Fred. Personally all the complication gives me a
Brad, can you ask Fred and Paul to make a joint post with Stardock to discuss your mutual and separate plans for future games (Starcontrol related), etc.
Now this will Stir up the pot real good and be a mammoth attention grabber.
Again SCO is a brilliant installment thanks to the Stardock team pulling it off. Next: I'd like to see P&F's flavor blended in, Not beating around the bush. This: The real sequel to SC2:UQM. After that Brad and the team could make an SCO sequel with the style they prefer as SCO is just as exciting.
More traditional physics and craft number one for me. SCO is great but i long for some traditional elements to be implemented. Is P&F still going to be part of the development ?
+1 for both replies above, a sequel to SC2 and a remake of SC2 ! ! !
Great news. I hope both parties will learn something from it. The best thing to learn is (IMO) that nothing can replace direct communication and all shall strive to restore it whenever possible. Anyways, Brad, I hope that you will see this message. Go for PS4|PS5 ( <img src="https://web.stardock.net/im
Outstanding news ! ! ! The whole ordeal left a bit of an unpleasant taste so i decided to leave for a while however ALL is FORGIVEN and FORGOTTEN now that i've read this news ! ! ! Absolutely wonderful news ! ! ! I hope Paul and Fred could add some of their own artistic ideas wrt ships and environments, physics, sound as well. Simply because their original game back then is what created a world that was uniquely imprinted into my youth with pioneering and revolutionary
Should they screw the next one over, i think it would be high time Stardock takes it over. Long time fans have been disgraced beyond embarrassment, for the many times they humiliated the series, i'll give them ONE last chance. if this is a total disgrace, i demand Stardock takes over ! ! !
In the spirit of everyone enjoying Star Control which i actually see as the pre roots for the whole cnc universe evolving into it's own genre, i have to just make a post of this announcement a few weeks back, as the cnc franchise is one of my favourite ever, as well as Star Control of course https://www.reddit.com/r/commandandconquer/comments/9pbchv/one_week_update_from_ea/ Lets h

Well if a diamond planet is possible why not a gold planet ? I say bring it on, to be super realistic you could create a planet that have mostly gold on it or extruding gold in its geological processes. That would be more ideal/realistic i'd say.
Nice !
Looks very clean and i do like the layout so far ! "The further you get from Earth, the stranger the planets." Nice !
Well, yes. But...okay, I know this is gonna sound silly or like I'm making it up, but the game comes out on September 20th, right? as an example you guys did this one right as i'm confident the others will too: the ice/ocean planet from Ashog's post here is a winner: https://forums.stardock.com/488335/page/2/#3720049 i'm sure
Though i share your eagerness to get started believe me, i'd rather suffer and wait for them to do it right, so they make it (holding thumbs) as good as we expect it to be.[e digicons]:|[/e] [e digicons]:moon:[/e]
I agree, that's what makes Star Control so interesting, you might find a phenomena or a unique planet, deep out in space you did not expect ! Now you are stoking me up again, i want to start the voyage ! !
we've opted for cool over realistic since, in all likelyhood, most planets are either just big rocks, big ice balls, or balls of gas. So having worlds made out of diamonds and rubies and gold and iron and other weird things allows players to constantly discover new things to explore.
That approach sounds fine to me. And in reality diamond worlds is possible, tweaking it a little and adding some weirdness, and finding
