I'm checking out objectdock and it's pretty cool but it doesn't work with steam apps it seems. You can't drag a steam-based shortcut to a dock or have it in a flyout without it losing its icon. You just get a world icon that apparently represents a URL - and the default steam shortcut setup IS pretty screwy. The windows desktop and Fences don't have a problem with this.
