Yes I get a similar hd not found message sometimes. Might be tied up with a file handles error I get sometimes as well.

Little update. Starting playing again with latest save game from yesterday. Obviously restarted the PC since yesterday's session so Windows XP SP3 running fairly "clean". Turned off the game's ground cover after turning it on to max yesterday. Played perfectly for about 1.5 hours. Then, after a combat (maybe autoresolve not sure) units displayed as black shadows. Nice refinements over the original. Hi all. Downloaded the new game from Steam yesterday. Really like it. I too have hit this massive XP gain after combat problem - got nearly 1200 levels. Also got stuck in the traits screen. It is obvious there should be an exit from this screen to save up traits or apply one later. I have a save game just before I entered the quest's combat if needed. I only trid it twice but the bug was reproduceable. I not
