Long Ago, in the Before Time, there was a Windows 3.1 shell replacement called Clysbar. It was strikingly similar to ObjectDock, but had one very clever bit of functionality that ObjectDock lacks: nesting. In brief: Clysbar allowed one to set up a docklet that was, in fact, a holder for a sort of "sub-dock", which would pop out when the docklet was selected.
