In the interest of full disclosure there is another.... competing?.......program which is released for 64 bit Windows. It includes a logon and I believe a boot section, as well as some type of desktop customization. I used it for the Bootup and Logon only then continued to use OD for all else. It's called Style XP at WWW Link The only reason I am using it is the lack of development on Boot and Logon programs. I would actually pay to have a

I have used Logon Studio and Bootskin for awhile now and realize they are not supported. I am at a loss to understand why though? This status is usually reserved for 'under development' programs which, by now, these two would have been made '1.0' versions. I am now using X64 Windows Pro and both are not working so I am very interested to find out the answer. There does not seem to be any better place to ask the question. <a h
I too use the Object Desktop w/WB5 on an x64 version of Win Pro. I find that, after I apply a theme I must reboot before it actually takes effect. There are still other things but that makes a big difference.
I am also running WB5 on an AMD 3000+ 64 bit system with Windows XP Pro X64. My system would not run it and I had to completely remove the WB4 version before re-installing WB5. Once I had it running I found that I am unable to apply changes without a reboot and now with the last 2 updates, my Browsers (IE and Firefox) won't skin. Colors change to the WB skin applied but title bars and other skinning areas are not working correctly where they
I have XP 64 but it says that WB5 is incorrectly installed. Uninstall and reinstall WB4, all works. Hints on registry or files I have to clean out before installing 5?
I was hoping the Beta2 would cover the 64 bit and in the release is says it does but it ain't happen'in for me yet. Any ideas along the lines of uninstalling, files or registry entries to remove before installing Version 5 beta 2 would be appreciated. I haven't looked at that yet since I am Uhmm.....still working technically.
Just changed my system over to the XP 64 bit version. I loaded my Object Desktop components from scratch. When I loaded the WB I went to version 5 but found it says that WB is not installed correctly. When I back up to WB4 it works and I see a WindowsBlinds_64 in my task manager. Just checking on if WB5 supports 64bit versions yet?
After running through both systems again I have found that LogonStudio was in the Startup folder. This caused the program to execute again. I was seeing it come up after logon. Once removed from Startup it is rotating the choosen logon screens.
I have LogonStudio running on a Dell C810 with XP perfectly. I now have a new Alienware 51M that I moved the logons over to, installed LogonStudio and enabled it with the randomizer in the same way. I can get the last individually selected logon of choice but I can not get the randomizing feature to work. I am looking at the two systems for any differences but is there anyone who knows if there are any checks for this or any know issues with monitoring programs or virus tools...??? <br
