I also have a problem. I bought the game (Collectors Editon) from an UK store and was able to use my email address to download the Stardock content. No problems. I then downloaded v1.1 beta but it wouldn't accept the CE serial number as the activation code. I then used the option which said something like 'Bought in Europe? Get new serial numbet here'. I put in the CE serial number but it woudln't accept it. I put it in again in lower case a

GC Forum problems in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I have Norton Internet Security installed which, of course, means I have a firewall enabled. For some reason the alert box keeps popping up every couple of seconds whenever I try to access this forum and then again when I want to read message threads. It's damned annoying as it means I have to disable the firewall to read the forum posts. Conversely, I can't spend as much time as I want in this forum as I feel paranoid leaving the firewall disabled, especially as I have broadba

Some time ago I posted the fact that as I had no Visa etc card I was resigned to the fact that I couldn't get the game. I went into a computer store in Sheffield this week and my mate John said "Jim, you like space games, is this any good?" Imagine my delight when I saw it was GC. And the store had three copies for sale. The moral is persevere (I think). There are some enlightened stores around.

Anything more about a release in the UK? I can't order it as I haven't got a Visa card so cannot buy online. Is there a chance it will be on sale on the shelves in the UK? Thanks.
