erm no.. last time i disabled UAC the pc got hijacked .. like literally had to do a total format of the drive (or paid like $500 they were asking for).. i guess ill wait for the next update of fences see if that fixes it. PS: and i have been trying options to fences but there are not many (tried 5 different ones and the "closest one" to fences hasn't been updated in 4 years)
UAC is set to default (second from the top) I did the clean boot (disabled every service but the Microsoft ones and disabled everything from startup BUT the 2 fences) .. still happened.
Is not running as admin and is installed in the default directory .. and yeah im using Fences 3 downloaded from my account download section ( https://cdn.stardock.us/downloads/public/software/fences/Fences_3.09_setup_sd.exe ) Getting the same error as OP also using Fences 3 also using windows 10 and also using 64 bit version
any solutions to this issue? im having the EXACT SAME issue as the OP .. including the same pop ups did the purge/reinstall (3 times) 2 windows system file scans (0 errors both times) and the clean boot (issue still happens) i was trying stuff and after disabling the normal fences start up i used a scheduled task (setting fences.exe as highest privilege) to trigger at log on (delay 30 secs) to try and bypass UAC .. instead of 2 popups i had
