So, it's not Vista, it's not GalCiv2, it's our beloved, trustworthy nVidia AKA "The Best Vista Experience - In and Out of the Box". I sure hope, sure truely hope you are right. This is a good thread regarding vista. So far, I never tried GC2 DA yet, but I tried Pacific Storm and it don't launch in vista. Then I tried BF1942, although it loads and gets in, it has a strange graphic problem that doesn't let me change any options. From what I have read here, and elsewhere, in addition to my experience with BF1942, I really think its nvidia's drivers. Please, please tell me that GC2 and DA will work ok with Vista? I am building a new mega PC tomorrow evening (cost me a ton of money!) and it will use Vista 64-bit home premium. I am already starting to get concerned about vista and some of my games and I have not even installed it yet. I just hope my games all work ok I really do, especially DA.

I am a little confused about the new espionage. I know that investing funds into it, that you get agents but what about information? In original GalCiv2 you got more information on a race the more funds you put into it. Does it still do this? Reason I ask is I was cranking about 50bc a turn into espionage and had almost 10 agents available but still I had low information on the race and it said to invest more bc into espionage to get more information. I finished a dark avatar game with terrans. Small galaxy, normal level, 2 major races and random amount of minors. When I started, little did I know my only planet the whole game would be just my homeworld. Sounds boring? Nope, it was fun and alot of it might I say. I done all of this with diplomacy. I agree, one heck of an expansion! Unlike other expansions for other games that add little content and leave you feeling ripped off, Dark Avatar is loaded with stuff and 100% worth it. Well, from the games listed up there GC2 is already the winner from my point of view, especially in the non-rts vote. CIV4 Warlords, I don't know but since it is only an expansion, I voted for GC2. On the overall, thats tough I mean there is FSX up there for one thing. In the end, I still picked GC2 because I feel its more original then the others up there.

Actually, I hate to break it to you but, you need to buy them both. I suggest buying GalCiv2 first, then get SE V. Reason being GalCiv2 has been out longer. As mentioned you can try the demos if you want but I bet you will end up having them both anyway. So you may want to just buy them now and get it over with.
