Just close the loop on this one, since Stardock staff don't seem interested, one of the updates in the last 18 months has solved the problem. Neither Sage nor Visual Studio suffer any problems with Groupy now.
I just received an offer to get the Beta. Is there any advantage to participating in the Beta, such as free upgrade to release version, reduced cost?
I have Deskscapes 10. Will this be a free update?

Followed the initial steps at the link you posted and created another admin account (Windows 10). The problem persisted under that account with the same destination folder for the portal fence. What services and tasks do you want enabled for the clean boot?

Thanks for this. I've used Fences for quite a while and occasionally delve into the options to explore. It's nice to get confirmation and to get shown a few things I hadn't considered. Two questions: I want two or more (but not all) fences to have the same colour/transparency. Is there any way to copy these settings from one fence to another, or select more than one fence at a time for a change, other than trying to flip between fences and trying to matc
Any update to this problem? A similar problem occurs with MS Visual Studio 2019 (I added my report in another thread).
I can confirm that this happens to me as well. 1. Windows 10 Home, version 1909, OS Build 18363.778 2. Groupy v1.32 3. Visual Studio 2019 version 16.5.5 4. This is impractical because it doesn't happen with any degree of predictability, so I could be saving dozens of video that show nothing. It seems to be related to lengthy VS2019 tasks that might appear to be the application not responding. FYI, the same thing happens with Sage 50 Pro Accounting

Odd behaviour, indeed. I have two desktop computers each with two monitors and the only time this ever happens to me is when I install a graphics driver update. When I rearrange the fences after a post installation reboot, they stay put. My thought is that something else must be interfering.

Win 10 w/Fall Creators' Update, Fences 3.0.5.12. Is there any way to filter the display of a folder portal? For example, I might want to exclude certain file types from displaying. Sorting and Organizing rules don't apply to a portal.
Win 10, Fences 3 Everything was fine before the Win 10 Fall Creator's Update corrupted my OS install a couple of days ago. That got fixed but now I cannot move any icon on the desktop, the icons simply return to the top-left-hand corner. If I take an icon out of a fence, it snaps to the left hand side of the desktop. I can rearrange icons in fences but not outside of the fences
