Hi! I'm running 8.1, and I have the proper Microsoft KB updates installed. Theoretically, I'm to see an icon in my tray that tells how I'm entitled to the Win 10 free update. Unfortunately, I don't have the icon, despite meeting other prerequisites. Per the Microsoft Win 10 update page, the problem could be because I'm blocking the update functionality. https://www.micro

I've entered my key successfully, and have used Start8 for months. Still, it keeps "timing out" and asking me for the key again every few weeks. It still thinks I'm in a trial mode, apparently. What can I do? It's frustrating to have to go look up my key each time...
Yes; exactly. Easy fix, but for my trackpad (known on my Samsung as a "smart pad", I had to go to: control panel--> mouse --> touchpad --> options Not really obvious, but easy to poke around for once I had an objective. Thanks!
My desktop is again Charms-free! Thanks for the tip!
With Start8 operational, I STILL have the Charms Bar appear any time my finger gets near the right edge of my track pad. I HATE WINDOWS EIGHT! I don't want to have it pop-up like that. As soon as it does, my app loses focus, and I have to click on the app for it to re-gain focus. This is a waste. Please save my sanity! Is there a preference I've forgotten to check, or one you've forgotten to avail? Thank you!
