In attempting to remove 1xuninstall.cmd from the folder Fences I found that it was first necessary to go to Task Manager/Processes and End the task "Windows host process (Rundll32). Once that was done I could delete 1xuninstall.cmd and the installation process for verison 3.0.9 ran to completion. A restart of my PC, which is running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, brought Fences 3.0.9.11 online. Clearly this update installation process is flawed and Stardock needs to fix their update instal

My attempt to upgrade Fences also failed. In attempting to follow Brian2's suggestions I tried to delete 1xuninstall.cmd I was presented with a message advising me that "The action can't be completed because the file is open in Windows host process (Rundll32)" How do I get past that prompt?
