I`ve not felt that restriction with the way I`ve been researching it has not been an issue. Remember the Dev`s are still balancing The game,.... it may just need more tweaking.
Like what has been said about the data files being modded you should back them up but if you break the game like i did !!! go to steam right click properties local files and then verify files usually will fix what you broke. but sending error reports might be a error itself.
The Omnipotant ship is awesome!! I like the rest of the ships too that have been display the last few pages!! Keep up the good work ALL!!!

Ship Builders Back up your files and read post about it Nasty!
Ship Builders you need to save your ship files before you install Beta they`l still work but the game will clear them out!!! also they are being put in a NEW Folder under Designs !!!
ED did you back up your ship files ??? if you did them put the in the New folder called Designs. Hope this helped Nasty!

MY gaming PC just died [e digicons]:([/e] I think I lost the Motherboard it`s saying RAM but the Ram check out. or at leas the two sticks I could check do any ways. I`m on a Fix income meaning Broke all the time! so I`ll not be fixing it any time soon :( And Beta around the corner!!
OK cool I`m an I-mod member too the files needed are in your document files in the My Games folder you`ll see Galciv3 you`ll needed the ship files and the objgfxcfg files the thumbnails are optional the game will make them if you don`t send them along! I all ready had to figure this out I had to re-image my PC and I did not want to loose my ships.... Plus I had a ship or two sent to me already :) PM me at I-mod if any more INFO is needed on the ships. Na

once all the anomalies have been explored will they pop back in the game later after epic battles? "How are the Planets graphics handle??,,...... and how much will be moddable threw an editor?? " this question pertaims to the tech tree how about adding the abililty to see a ship inthere a have it show you which techs need to be research to unlock said ship.? also will the size of each map
