Thanks for the quick reply. I've now purchased and installed ModernMix on my laptop and it's working great in concert with Start8.

I currently use Start8 and love it. ModernMix sounds like a great idea. Can it be run in parallel with Start8 or would I need to replace Start8 with ModernMix?

Thanks for the feedback. I think I found a fix for my issue. When I clicked on the Chrome settings icon in the upper right corner, there is an option I hadn't noticed before. The second section from the top in this menu said "Relaunch Chrome in Desktop mode." When I selected this option, Chrome was relaunched in Desktop mode. I closed Chrome and reopened from a desktop shortcut and sure enough, the default was now to run in Desktop mode. The

I've been successfully using Start 8 for some time now. Google Chrome is my default browser and up until recently, it ran in Windows 7 mode on the desktop. Now when I start the browser from the start menu or from a shorcut on the desktop, it runs as a Windows 8 application in Windows 8 mode. I can't see any setting in Chrome or in Start 8 to force the application to run in Windows 7 mode. Any ideas for how to fix this?
