Google Chrome Runs as Windows 8 App

I've been successfully using Start 8 for some time now.  Google Chrome is my default browser and up until recently, it ran in Windows 7 mode on the desktop.  Now when I start the browser from the start menu or from a shorcut on the desktop, it runs as a Windows 8 application in Windows 8 mode.

I can't see any setting in Chrome or in Start 8 to force the application to run in Windows 7 mode.  Any ideas for how to fix this?

This looks like a Chrome issue. There should be an option to switch modes in Chrome's menu, but looking around some users have had run run it as an admin to get it to take.

Thanks for the feedback.  I think I found a fix for my issue.  

When I clicked on the Chrome settings icon in the upper right corner, there is an option I hadn't noticed before.  The second section from the top in this menu said "Relaunch Chrome in Desktop mode." When I selected this option, Chrome was relaunched in Desktop mode.  I closed Chrome and reopened from a desktop shortcut and sure enough, the default was now to run in Desktop mode.  

The settings icon now has an option to allow me to switch back to running Chrome in Windows 8 mode if I so desire.
