Upon prompt from Start 11, I just clicked to "Download and Install" the new release. The update window reports "40.20 MB of 40.16 MB" downloaded and the process has apparently frozen. Nothing more happens. Only option is to click Cancel Update. Rinse, repeat, same result.

Well ... following your suggestion I uninstalled Start11, rebooted, and then installed a freshly downloaded (via My Account : Downloads) copy of v. 1.2. Clicking the About tab in configuration confirms that it is v.1.2. When installation was complete, the System Tray appeared as normal. When I clicked yes to the prompt asking if I wanted to let Start11 enhance the taskbar, the System Tray disappeared. When I turned off Taskbar Enhancement, the System Tray came

I understand that (and why) you do not support beta/dev releases of Windows 11. I was just letting you know of a problem on the horizon. Actually, it is not a problem on the horizon with Windows 11. It appears that the problem lies with Start 11 itself, in the Taskbar enhancement feature. I reinstalled 1.11 -- all worked fine. I then accepted the upgrade to 1.2 -- all worked fine. I then said yes to letting Start 11 enhance the taskbar -

I participate in the Windows Insider Program, in the Beta channel. Starting with Build 22581 and continuing in Build 22593, Start11 causes the System Tray to become invisible. After uninstalling Start11 the System Tray appears and behaves normally. Unless there's a fix for this, the next Windows 11 release promises to cause considerable disruption for Start11 users.
