Just a data point, may/may not be related: I've had File Explorer drag/drop issues like this for years across multiple Windows releases. Every now and then (once a month?), Windows will get into a state where the drag operation is immediately cancelled. You only see your icon drag for a few milliseconds then drop back to its original position. A reboot should clear that up but it is infuriating. I sympathize. Curiously here though, it's persisting across reboot. So maybe unrelated to

Bug: Clicking Start11 settings > Taskbar > Adjust taskbar transparency > Settings resets the default value (85%) to (50%). (You may need to Reset your custom value beforehand to reproduce.)
Nit/Enhancement: Navigate to Windows settings > Accessibility > Visual Effects > and set Animation effects to off. Start11 doesn't respect SPI_GETCLIENTAREAANIMATION (animation effects) so continues to animate various UI elements/surfaces.
Crash: Clicking the back button in Settings when it's grayed out.
Add multiple instances of Visual Studio to a group and note the Groupy titlebar borders don't align properly. Example image: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DOsj-emU8AABQbP.jpg:large
It's a registry value that ships with Windows, it being the wrong type is exceptional so we throw an exception. Nothing to fix on our (EarTrumpet) end [e digicons]:D[/e] thanks for the fix though. I'll update our bug report with this new info.
I don't know about that "alert" sound, but I'm hella loving the music right at the end. It's so hyperspace. It just registers "star control" immediately.
The rest of that song is even better!
So I just watched the gameplay tease @ http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2016/10/a-first-look-at-star-control-origins-gameplay-prequel-due-for-release-in-2h17/?comments=1 and ask that you swap out that alert sound near the end. I feel like that particular alert sound is used all over the place (tv/movies/games) -- probably part of some stock royalty-f
