I now have Windows 10 and did not uninstall Start8 before the upgrade. I am missing my charms so I tried to uninstall Start8. I was informed that I should close Start8 before proceeding but with Windows 10. It doesn't appear to be an easy way to do this since the Start8 button is no longer available. Can I just override the request and continue to uninstall it?

I have Windows 8.1 and Start8 1.47v. Using the Windows 7 skin, everything was working well. Now my Windows button changed to a clear figure and now switches between the desktop and Windows 8. This is my wife's computer and she need to get the start menu and more importantly the shut down but on it back. How do I do this?
