" Any specific reason, that make you think that Fences is the cause of this issue? " I did everything suggested and the WinX still does not function.
Thank you, Basj. I tried disabling Fences. No help. I removed Fences and rebooted. No help. I reinstalled it and still no help. Right clicking on the Windows Button stopped functioning during the last Fences update. Why does Fences.exe show up twice and is disabled when in fact it is running and my fences are active? <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/51/22/5122453/8fdb775a-68db-4ee6-9f42-4fb598b43514.jpg" alt="" width="601" height="510"
I have Windows 11 Pro on my desktop. I have Windows 11 Home on my laptop and Windows 10 on my tablet. I purchased Fences for my three computers. The current version is 5.89 (Revision 3). My problem is with only one of my computers, the desktop. When I right-click on the Windows Start button, the full window will not open. Just a small window about the size of a dime and there is no text within. When I press Windows X as a shortcut, the same small window opens and
After backing up the computer to an external drive, I unregistered the 2.12. I then removed the checkbox from Enable Fences so the system could reaccess the icon database. I then restarted the computer. Upon reentry, I used Windows/Programs and Features to remove Fences 2.12. I then restarted the computer. Upon reentry, I installed version 4.1.9.2. After making a few adjustments..... I'm am now a happy camper.
I have a new Windows 11 PC. I installed Fences 2.12 on it and registered it under a previous license. Everything was great until I decided to purchase 4.1.9.2. I downloaded it and installed it. I didn't receive any warnings that a previous version was already installed and that I needed to remove it, nor did it say that the previous version would be overwritten. After installation, the installation program stated that I needed to restart my computer.
I had been using V2.0 and many of my icons within multiple fences would disappear. Sometimes on icon shortcut would be on top of another within the same fence. I would need to recreate the shortcut and drag it to the appropriate fence. I upgraded to V2.13 and thought the problem went away. Nope, I am still having the same problem. Links are either disappearing or being placed on top of other links. As a temporary fix, I create a new empty fence and drag and d
The problem still exists.
Thanks RND. I'll investigate all of the desktop settings.
I am having the same problem on my Windows 8.1 machine. Before I upgraded from 8.0 I had no problems. W8.1 won't let me move any icon and I don't have any of the previously mentioned stardock software on my machine.
