The Adobe creative cloud just updated all the apps to new 2022 versions so that had the side effect of fixing the other issue now too...

Kind of fixed it - I unpinned Photoshop and Indesign from everything it was pinned to - rebooted - went to the exes for both programs and pinned them both to the taskbar - rebooted and they both came back to the taskbar - went to the exes again and pinned them to Start11 and they're back again - I then unpinned them from the taskbar, rebooted and the taskbar and pinned start11 icons are now working fine again. But on the left app menu the photoshop and indesign icon are still missing?

I too am getting blank icons in the latest beta of Start11 using the Windows 10 layout - but worse than above. This issue appeared shortly after installing Start11 for the first time yesterday.
