Yeah, I caught up with some of the other forum posts after I'd posted the above reply and found the same post. I've disabled the automated cleaning of 'junk' anyway, for now, and will re-enable it in a few days. What's odd, though, and I'm not sure if it's coincidental or a sign of changes made to AVG TuneUp, or even a completely separate issue, is that the 'disappearing' license.sig file is new for me - probably around 3-5 days. Before then, the license.sig file was always present wh

So I've been looking at this in some more depth and have found that if the license.sig file is still present, it's completely empty - a zero byte file. The last few occasions, the file is missing completely. I've whitelisted the c:\program data\stardock folder in both my AV (McAfee) software and Malwarebytes and there's nothing in the logs of either showing it's quarantined or repaired any files in this folder; so I'm 100% confident it's not my AV / security / anti-malware software. I've been
I've checked for the license.sig file on the last few occasions and it's been present each time. Next time it happens I'll send you the file.
Ok, so this issue started when I raised a separate issue on this forum post: https://forums.stardock.com/503873/universal-applications-menu-is-empty Since then, and I believe it's coincidence more than a related issue, I have to reactivate Start10 and Fences on almost every reboot, or if my machines have been left on and logged into Windows for 2-3 days. I'll either get a popup near the system t
Hi Sean, It's not an error I'm getting when trying to activate, it's that after 1-3 reboots it becomes deactivated and I have to activate it again. It's been happening on all of my machines (I'm currently using five - two PCs and three laptops, all running Windows 10 Home or Pro, all on version 20H2, build 19042.867. I'm not sure if it's been since the most recent Start10 update or a recent Windows 10 update that's caused it but it's certainly annoying. I've done the above and re
Ok, so I thought the purge had worked and, temporarily, it did. On the next reboot, though, the same issue re-occurred. I tried another reboot and they came back - but, I'm getting another issue along with it. It seems that on every reboot (maybe not every reboot, but more often than not) I lose the activation - I have to re-activate it by entering my email address and password or licence key. I thought this affected just my main desktop PC, but I'm having the same issues (
I did a purge and reinstalled, the Universal Application menu is now back, working as normal :)
Hi AzDude, first - amazingly fast response! Do you mean just the 'Start10Empty' section referenced in your link or everything on the page? Most of it isn't relevant to the issue I'm experiencing. I've checked the Windows Privacy settings and 'Let Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results' is indeed enabled: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.
I recently updated to version 1.96 and I've noticed that my Universal Applications menu is empty on my 'Modern Style' start menu. I can't say that it's definitely this update that caused it as I'm sure I've had a few updates since I last used the Universal Application menu, but the Universal Applications menu was definitely working fairly recently and I've not changed anything with Start10 except install updates when prompted. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that's not resolved t
