how do we get SkinStudio, everytime i right click a skin and click edit it takes me to https://www.stardock.com/products/skinstudio/ with no way of downloading it. I'm on Day 1 of my 30 day trial and already hit 2 BIG problems and 1 small one. the two big ones are, font colour problem and not skinning firefox like uxthemepatcher does on My windows 10 and the small one is i select right button to rollup but most of the time using
Why is it then when i run windowblinds with NO start10 installed it messes with the colour of the font in classic start menu ?????:?:
Was looking at replacing uxthemepather and actual windows rollup with window blinds, Which actually theme firefox 46.0 and roll the window up with NO problems. But guess it's not to be. You can't even use double click or right click on the titlebar of firefox to roll up the windows with windowblinds.
If windowfx adds effects to my firefox window and i view a HTML5 video on youtube and select full screen, as soon as i click esc to come out of fullscreen the video fills the firefox window and i have to use task manager to exit firefox. I have since added firefox to the excluded apps list and it works 100%.
I installed windowblinds 8 trial (not sure that I need this yet) I click on try windowblinds 8 and enter my email. I then check email and click the green button that says activate 30 day trial. Only to be greeted with this https://www.stardock.com/apptrials/validate_error.asp?rc=-1 page. I think OK try another email address that isn't linked to my stardock purchases. But the EXACT same problem. Any Body Able to help
Another slight modification to this behavior is, If a move a window at the normal speed I almost certainly see nothing under my pointer. But if I drag the window REALLY really slowly I get to see the contents and effects, once content and effects are shown I can move the window at any speed and still see contents and effects, Until I let go of the mouse and move said window again. Hope this helps tech if they read this.
I've had this happen a few times also.
[quote who="WHATSTHIS" reply="3" id="3327306"] I have the solution to this issue. It is this Windows update: Platform Update for Windows 7 x64-Edition (KB2670838) I am running an older system and directX10. I do not know if this update will effect DX11 systems but for sure it screwed up mine. It is an optional update, So just uninstall it' Problem fixed. Update realesed 2/27/2013 To uninstall an update open controll panel/ programs and features/ uninstall a program
You are DEFINITELY NOT alone with the invisible windows , lots of have been having his for a while, all stardock seen to say is they know about it for the last few months.
Just so you know this isn't confined solely to multiple gfx cards, I have Gefore560TI 448 cores (running 313.96 drivers, also have issue on every driver I've tried fromn 306 up). I get NO window when first dragging a window, no If i let go and drag the same window around I get the animations. Just in case this helps.
I have 2 problems when windowfx is running. 1. Windows open with a background focus Ie. I click to install a program (any program) and it starts it's window behind the current one (either firefox, windows explorer, whatever it makes no difference) I click install it then looses focus and goes to the back asking for the install path. I have turned WindowsFX off and these widndows stay on top. 2. every now and then when I drag a window it becomes invisable. But
that wouldn't be a bad idea, that way you don't have to use the few you don't like.
I have no need of a sledgehammer to crack a nut. Seems a bit drastic to buy and install and have running window binds just to have a roll up function. And seeing as this is windowsFX and winroll up would be a nice effect to have I thought I would just ask.
Just a function to be abble to roll up the window to the size of the titlebar. like WINROLL http://www.palma.com.au/winroll/ does, but sadly this doesn't work correctly with win 7 or 8 anymore and is somewhat abandoned. I have No need what so ever of windowsblinds like Wizard1956 said.
Just tried this program and have to say the only thing I can think of that would make it better would be the ability to have a winnroll window minimize to title bar upon a mouse click.
