Found out what the problem is. In the US all prices are listed excl. tax (vary per state). And internationally (certainly in Europe) all prices have to include tax (in Europe usually around 20%). Hence the price difference.

Then Stardock is probably using "loan sharks" as a bank :). Exchange rates are instigated by our national banks and all banks have to adhere to those (and no it doesn't include administrative costs) (Also no pun intended) Here in the Netherlands it's the same. Offered upgrade for $3.99 but at checkout it's €4.99. and here too the Euro2USD ≈1.06
