Seem to be very random by the commentaries. Did not work for me... However, I did find a solution that's a bit odd. Some Synaptics touchpads doesn't have the option to disable the edge swipe. Reg edits does not seem to work. A thing that did work was to uninstall the Synaptics driver and restart. Windows will install it's own driver and no egde swipes. You'll lose lots of Synaptics specific settings thou. There's a better solution: d

I was under the impression that Start8 was overriding and disabling the edge swipes of Win 8.1? I does not, even thou I chose it in the settings. Am I doing something wrong? I really don't want the charms bar to show up ever so often...

Some apps are not in the Windows 8-apps folder. Store, settings, photos, camera, skydrive. All these appears like ordinary shortcuts on Start8. How can I move them to the Windows 8-apps folder?

Is there any integrated function for restarting in the "Advanced Startup Options" menu? Start8 is really great, and not many features are missing, but I haven't found this one (if it exist).

I changed nothing at all except for the new Start8 version 1.15. The SSD has never been slow for me, and the performance was good again after uninstalling v1.15. I even tried it again now, and v1.15 gives me bad performance, uninstalling it and re-installing the v1.14 beta resolves it. I have no idea why, but I can not use the latest version.

I found that the overall performance of my computer decreased when I installed v1.15. When I reverted back to v1.14 beta, performance was good again. Is this a known problem?

Well, as the title says; the update button from within the program does nothing. Even thou I know that V1.02 was released, the update button in V1.01 said there where no new updates. I really don't want to have to keep scanning the forums to find out about new versions.
Thats something we have on the possible list. For now you can do such arrangement via explorer. Right click on the all programs menu and you should get a menu offering you to open the two locations Windows uses for Start menu items.
Everything with this action prompts me about admin rights.

If I have the ribbon disabled (or enabled but then it's for the ribbon I guess, theres a dead spot at the top right, a millimeter to the right of the red X. A bit annoying as I always seem to miss the X. Can this be fixed?
