what are the differences between Multiplicity and the open source software synergy: http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/ ? (other then you have to pay for Multiplicity of course)
Another key difference is that Synergy is available for multiple platforms while Multiplicity is for Windows only. I've used Multiplicity Pro since it came out and absolutely love it. But, I switched to a Mac late last year and now I'm forced to use Synergy, which is definitely harder to con

I have Excel open on PC1. I drag it to PC2. Now I have to wait for Excel to open to let go of my window? Ugh. No thanks. What happens when I try to drag a window that's not supported on the other PC (I don't have Excel installed)? What happens when OSX and Linux support is there and they don't support the notepad I just tried to move? Think more like X Windows or other utilities which simply tell PC2 to draw what would have
We have added new features to MP since 1.0 and in particular the recent MP 1.21 I retract my statement, as I stand corrected. My perception of MP not being a well supported product stems from the fact that there are features that are either not working well or are not implemented which have annoyed me, such as extended mouse behavior, like the tilt wheel on my Microsoft mouse. Sometimes the third/fourth buttons don'
I've been a long time Multiplicity Pro user (May '05) and have become very reliant on it both at home and at work. It's a fantastic program but it seems to be poorly supported. I'm still having sporadic connectivity issues which the latest beta build addresses a little bit. Beta and released builds are far and few between (over 2 years and we're only on 1.2x with no new features and still buggy connectivity). As a Windows user, I feel somewhat disappointment in the lack of support for this produ
There needs to be an override. Clearly the OS isn't choosing the best route on the primary machine. MP is binding to one subnet while the client is on a different subnet. If I were allowed to choose which network connection to always use, this problem would go away. I've disabled auto-lookup and it still doesn't work reliably (most days it's OK, others it refuses to work). When I change the settings on the primary for the client, it appears to attempt to contact the client, which I assu
My computer has 2 network adapters. Multiplicity chooses to use one of the two, and unfortunately for me, it's not the one I want it to choose. How can I force Multiplicity to default or use a specific network adapter?
Hopefully the next update will support additional keys on keyboards (I use Microsoft keyboards, and all of the additional buttons are now disabled, even on the primary machine), as well as additional buttons on mice (my forward/back buttons are disabled on my Microsoft mice). This app is also quite bandwidth intensive for what it does. It's unusable on my 802.11g network. Once I plugged in, the program is awesome. Yet, I have no problems using
