Going a little further back in the forum I found this, which is probably the answer, but no solution. And I am pretty sure, it initially used to work! https://forums.stardock.com/506750/chrome-apps

I created a group with different messengers, some of which are real desktop apps (like WhatsApp, Telegram), some are web apps that have been saved with chrome (like Google Messages). A saved this group and put the link into the startup folder (Windows 10). For quite a while that worked, the only app that would not be grouped initially would be the Teams App. (Which also does not close with the group, after being grouped manually) But that is ok. Recently the group began to act s

Os there a way to style the color of the progress bar over the taskbar-icon? (Like when copying in Explorer the progress of the process over the Explorer-icon) I use Dark-Styles and the regular dim green color seems untouched by curtains. With most dark themes it is hardly visible.

My currently preferred theme looks bad when the taskbar is not at the bottom but at the top of the screen. Actually it would be enough to flip the images for active apps and the background. It would be helpful in many cases adjusting the theme to the taskbar-position automatically by flipping the images or at least have the option to do so...

Even without disabling Curtains first, that helps at least for the active window state. The inactive titlebar-color I set in Winaero Tweaker has no effect. But only seeing the menu when the window has focus still makes it absolutely usable... Thanks :)

Cubase (LE 10.5) has it's main menubar integrated into the title bar to save space. The curtains dark theme I am using has dark titlebar-backgrounds - but the menu in Cubase has black text. It seems we do need an exclusion list for apps like that - I don't think Cubase will accord to changing how their app is constructed...

Instead of reducing the file size, the text could often be shortened easily, like: Instead of: "Nur gruppieren, wenn das Fenster oben mindestens 1/3 Sekunden gehalten wird" e.g.: "Nur, wenn das Fenster oben mind. 1/3 Sek. gehalten wird" ("Gruppieren" is redundant, since it is already in the header)

Using e.g. the local Midnight style if there is only on Groupy tab in Explorer, it is colored blue like the first tab of Explorer itself. As soon as there is a second tab, the active Groupy tab is black and the inactive Groupy tab is darkgrey. Then, if Explorer is not focused, the active Groupy tab goes darkgrey with a blue line on top, the inactive darkgrey with no line. There is no logic is the way, the colors change.

They are standard Windows desktop apps, they are integrated in a similar way as MS Office Apps, making them a kind of "Suite" if both installed (more to come with Publisher). Trying to open them as a saved group produced errors and they started both, but ungrouped. I can't reproduce it now, because Groupy is uninstalled until it has reached a more "consistent" level. The idea remains intriguing ;)

I tried to group Affinity Apps, Photo and Designer, Grouping looks great as they are closely integrated anyway, but a saved group does not work well. Also I grouped Win10 calendar, WhatsApp, and the mail client (Wavebox) - again they group well, but open separately if opened again as a saved group.

Ah, found it... :) It's there. Pinning it to the taskbar does not work well, but pinning to the startmenu does... Now only when opening a saved group that has "modern" Apps mixed with Desktop-Apps they all open, but the "modern" Apps are not grouped. Also maybe when opening a saved group where one App is already running could open the other two and integrate them into the running window... :)

Groupy still very much behaves like a solitary app and does not integrate much with the regular interface. I think what many people generally request is a more natural way to use the features. Like: accessing groups from the taskbar, startmenu or tray; closing groups or windows etc. The usage of tabs is expected to behave like well known from browsers where the feature is used most. Like: accessing tab-options via context-menu of the tab etc. I am not quite sure wh

Indeed, Ctrl-N does nothing... I also have "QTTabbar" active for other options than the tabs it provides. Within QTTAbbar Ctrl-N was set to duplicate a tab. Unchecked that and now the + works :)

Win 10, Groupy 1.1 Trial In Explorer the + - Button does nothing. I also tried "force new window button on all groups" but I wonder: what would that be opening, if it actually did something?

When there is an active group add an option to the three dot menu to save the group. Like with tabs of the same app like explorer.exe now when these apps are opened they go into that group automatically. That would be consistent. Then add closing groups with one click. If there was a tray icon for Groupy it could give access to saved groups in order to manage and open them with one click. Luxury: A saved group could also be assigned an icon that can be pinned to the ta

Seems saving (and handling, opening, closing) tab groups of different programs is one of the most requested features so far and Stardock states they are considering it, but need to figure out the best way to implement that. What have you been using so far?

Another idea: choosing the option to create an extra title bar for the tabs makes it more consistent in general. But for autogrouped apps like explorer it just wastes screen space. If one could choose that option as a general rule and additionally individually for each autogrouped set that would solve some of my "problems"...

Windows Store Apps show the regular title bar icons "minimize" "windowed mode" and "close" on their windows for quite a while now. That there is no tab icon in groupy is true - but they do have an icon in their own titlebar. Is that icon not accessible? Maybe for consistency an integrated title bar could always show the standard buttons on the upper right, even if they are just a duplification of the ones in the row below.

I use a stylus and have no middle button. In autogrouped Explorer I right click on the drive icon or a folder and choose "open in new window" for now. That way not only I have a new tab but also with a starting point close to where I want it to go.

I don't like VD at all. In Win 10 they are even included, still... A VD is off screenspace; I have 3 Monitors, I like to see directly what is open and reach it with one click. A VD would habe to be pulled up first. So the concept of tabs and tab groups - if implemented in a consistent way - would be just right for my workflow.

When having tabs and title bars integrated the way icons on the right upper corner are located is rather irritating. Sometimes the icons seem to be related to the whole group, sometimes they are not integrated and are located below. I suppose this is due to some of the windows having custom window controls and some standard windows title bars. Example: I grouped 1 desktop app with standard title bar (mail client), 1 "windows store app" (calendar) and one app with cust

Many feature requests for Groupy are related to how we are used to use tabs in most common browsers. I believe Groupy should develop into that direction: tabs could be pinned, group sessions saved as sth. you open and close with on click. In the options you could tell groupy to open the set only with pinned tabs or where you left off. You could tell apps to always open with a [ + ] icon and even one window being tabbed - or not. While Explorer would benefit greatly from always having a [
